Thousands of hardware stores exist in the United States, but none like Bering's. Founded in 1940 by August Bering, what started out as a lumberyard is today a unique 30,000-square-foot retail store with a selection of gourmet coffee beans, Baccarat crystal, fine writing instruments, engraved and embossed stationery, along with the merchandise you expect to find in a good traditional hardware store.
